Boats In, Garbage Out, River Clean- Thanks to You!
With your support in 2009, over 350 river lovers showed up to the Clackamas and hauled out 4,960 pounds (2.48 tons) of trash from 14 miles of riverbank and bottom. As part of the Ripple Effect effort, 15 local artists transformed the trash into handcrafted works of art that are now enjoyed in a new way by our community, completing the full life cycle of our waste.
A huge thank you from We Love Clean Rivers (now officially a 501(C)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization) and the Clackamas River Basin Council for your efforts to improve the health of our beloved Clackamas River.
Your energy and synergy made the event a success and you made a HUGE difference. THANK YOU!
