River Clean Up Weights Released!...

The highly anticipated weight totals from the 12th Annual Down the River Clean have been released! We apologize for the delay in posting. We had the 2nd highest volunteer turn out for the event that we’ve had in 12 years! There were 401 volunteers that together cleaned up a total of 2.82 tons (5,640 lbs.) of refuse from the Clackamas River. That averages out to be 14 lbs of trash cleaned per volunteer. The breakdown for each Park location of trash collected (in tons) includes: Barton – 0.15 Carver – 1.02 Riverside – 1.22 Clackamette – 0.42 53% of the total refuse collected was sorted into the “recycle” piles.
