Volunteer at the Down the River Clean Up on the Clackamas! Come float and fill your boat at the 13th Annual Down the River Clean Up on Sunday, September 13th, 2015. For the first time in 12 years, the event will include Milo McIver State Park as an official boat launch for floaters joining the effort to keep the Clackamas River clean – extending this year’s trash sweep by 10 miles to include a 20+ mile stretch of the Clackamas River from Estacada to the confluence with the Willamette River in Oregon City. Pre-registration is required online! Join the Clackamas River Basin Council, We Love Clean Rivers, and a flotilla of over 350 volunteers in rafts, kayaks, drift boats and SCUBA gear, to scour the Clackamas River’s streambed and banks for trash. We Love Clean Rivers and Clackamas River Basin Council are excited to announce that Pre-Registration is now live for the 12th Annual Down the River Clean Up on the Clackamas to take place on Sunday, Sept 7th at Barton Park. Event Raft Rider spots are limited, and Private Boater POD spaces are first come first serve, so please sign up today HERE! Key volunteers, such as Material Recovery Leaders/Assistants, Kayak POD Leaders, Garbage Scows, and Event Raft Captains, are still needed. Hey River Friends! Online registration is now open for the 11th Annual Down the River Clean Up on the Clackamas – to take place Sunday Sept 8, 2013. Spots fill quickly. REGISTER HERE TODAY! And don’t be shy to sign up for one of our fun on-land position too – there’s a spot on the registration form where you can indicate if you are interested.
