RIPPLE Effect Art Exhibit

Join us on Saturday November 7th, 2009 from 4:00-9:00pm at Numiss (4039 N. Mississippi) for an art exhibition featuring the creative works of 16 local artists using materials salvaged from the 3 tons of debris to be collected from the Clackamas River at the 7th Annual Down the River Clean Up.

Presentation starts at 6pm, auction closes at 8pm.

A new endeavor inspired by the collective passion and creativity of the individuals who come together to clean up our rivers, the RIPPLE Effect is a new effort to inspire sustainable lifestyle changes through individual, innovative artistic efforts.

The RIPPLE Effect, started by Jenn Reilly, is a movement supporting individuals who embark upon sustainable artistic endeavors.  Art is inspirational alone, and through artistic exhibitions, the artists will create an annual event that they hope will resonate through the community.

Jenn has put together a team of diverse artists to work with recovered river debris with the hopes of inspiring a community to make sustainable lifestyle choices. You don’t have to be an artist to inspire change!! It is through the reformation of the thought process that will get people to think outside of the blue recycling bin to become active participants in reducing waste and recycling!
